I've always been passionate about art and researching the many styles and learning even how to use them myself, so I took the opportunity with my passion project chose to research a topic in art I have not yet done. For my passion project, I chose to learn about pop art and its origins. In today's world almost anywhere you look there is something that showcases pop art.

A basic rundown of my questions is: How do they come up with their ideas, What is the origin, And how do artists find whats important to create art about?

Popart was created around the 1950s in London by Richard Hamilton but by 1960 Pop art became a huge concept of that time because of artists like Andy Warhol and Keith Haring. In 1957 Richard Hamilton described this art style as popular, young, witty, low-cost, and big business. Pop art was created to provide commentary and importance on world events and the new upcoming of consumerist culture. For example, Andy Warhol created the famous soup can and Marilyn Monroe art pieces which drew everyone's attention with the bright popping colors and the significance of that time.

Andy Warhols- Marilyn Monroe

Many artists pull their art from important world events and that's what I chose to do to create art to showcase what I learned for my art I chose to paint about Trans rights because it is something I find important which is what a lot of artists did when they found something important to the world the created art to pursued and influence people to think differently and to also find importance in it too.
